Nice to meet you! My name is Dan. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and creative writer, I’ve guided thousands of students through the writing process, from high school essays to college application statements. My approach centers arounds helping students discover and develop their authentic, compelling voices. I believe that great writing starts with understanding who you are and what you want to say.Through personalized coaching, I work closely with students to explore ideas, craft clear narratives, and refine their writing. My goal is not just to improve a single essay but to build lasting skills that empower students to communicate with confidence and purpose. Whether tackling a classroom assignment or a life-changing college application, I’m passionate about helping every student persuasively tell their unique story.I work in San Francisco and provide remote services to students across the country. I have my B.A. in English with a Minor in Classics from Whitman College, as well as a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Education from Santa Clara University. Let’s talk!
